On Friday 20 May 2022 we held our first annual Dales 50 cycling event in collaboration with North Brewing Co and Chevin Cycles to support Mind in Bradford.
We all had so much fun touring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, whilst raising money for the vital work Mind in Bradford does for our local community.
At 7.30am the cyclists arrived bright and early at North Bar Social in Otley for a breakfast buttie, a hot drink and a chance to catch up with the other attendees.
Ahead of setting off, Construction Director Bill Barton gives the rundown on the route, landmarks to look out for and how to tackle the trickier junctions.
The 20 cyclists then took off to complete a 50-mile route through the North Yorkshire countryside.
At the halfway point, the cyclists enjoyed a pit stop at North Bar Harrogate for a hot drink and chocolate brownie, which went down a treat!
The group was then onto the last leg of the cycling route with some challenging hill climbs!
Riders started to arrive back at North Bar Social around 1.30pm where a victory pint and lunch from Luigi Street Food were provided.
Each cyclist was also treated to a well-earned sports massage by Pat Hill Massage. All donations were sent to Mind in Bradford.
The cycling event raised an incredible £1,070 for Mind in Bradford.
We want to say a big thank you to everyone that took part and supported the day!
Keep an eye out as we start to plan for something even more exciting in 2023 to support the local charity.
