‘The Role of International Dispute Centres’ with Damian Hickman (IDRC)

Damian is the CEO of the IDRC, (International Dispute Resolution Centre) which he founded in 1999. Before this he was the Manager of the Fleet Arbitration Centre which he joined in 1994. Damian was the project lead of the IDRC relocation from Fleet Street to St. Paul’s which opened in September 2021. Damian is also a member of the International Arbitration Charity Ball Committee and Compere/Partner of Law Rocks! – a charity fundraising battle of bands for international law firms.

‘Why London is an Attractive Place to Resolve International Disputes’ with Jessica Stephens QC (4 Pump Court)

Jessica is a commercial silk specialising in construction and related professional negligence disputes. She appears in both international and domestic arbitrations and the courts, and has experience of all standard form construction and engineering contracts (including JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and PFI/PPP disputes. Jessica has significant experience in international arbitrations (LCIA, ICC and LMAA) concerning a variety of subject matters including shipbuilding, offshore energy and infrastructure projects.

She has considerable experience of all aspects of adjudication, including advising on and drafting documents within the adjudication process, and has regularly appeared at enforcement hearings, injunctions to restrain the continuation of adjudications and declarations as to the adjudicator’s jurisdiction.
