Steve Gibson of Chevron (UK)

Steve Gibson

Steve is Senior Counsel in the Major Capital Projects Group at Chevron. Steve is currently supporting the FGP-WPMP project in Kazakhstan, one of the world’s largest energy projects, with responsibility for a number of major construction and vendor contracts. Steve has previously worked in private practice and in house roles, with extensive international experience including assignments in Singapore and Russia, where he acted as in house construction counsel to the Sakhalin-2 project. Prior to joining Chevron he advised on energy and infrastructure projects in the UK, primarily in the fields of renewable energy and nuclear.

Rachel is a Solicitor specialising in Construction and Engineering law. Rachel worked in private practice for 20 years and is now working in-house at Bouygues Energies & Services.

Rachel has repeatedly been rated as a Construction Law practitioner in the leading guides to the legal profession. The Legal 500 2020 rated Rachel as a “Leading Individual” and Chambers & Partners 2020 ranked Rachel as a “Band 1” practitioner.

Rachel has written a number of articles on the topic of construction law, which have achieved commendations and awards in the Society of Construction Law Hudson Prize competition.

Rachel sits as a lay member of the RIBA Professional Standards Panel and was part of the commission appointed to assist the RIBA to re-draft its Code of Practice, Code of Professional Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
